Job Description

Are you a backhoe operator who takes pride in your work and who wants to work on a team of others who do the same? B.R. Kreider & Son, Inc. is looking for a full-timeBACKHOE OPERATOR. Qualified candidates should be able to operate a backhoe in a safe manner for bulk excavations, trench work and installing utilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of self and others in all situations
• Operate equipment efficiently and effectively
• Ensure utilities installed never fail test and inspections
• Pay attention to fine details of the job
• Maintain accurate records of materials installed, rock measurements, equipment usage and time usage

Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License Required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• 1 year experience in excavation work
• Knowledge of blueprints, grade sheets, storm sewer pipe work
• Ability to set up and adjust lasers
• Knowledge of safety requirements on the job such as confined spaces, ditch work and road traffic control
• Skilled at digging and exposing utilities
