Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Backflow Service Technician to independently perform testing, service, maintenance, and repairs of backflow devices at customer sites.

This position requires 3+ years of experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while following codes and company procedures. Travel to job sites is required and you may mentor apprentices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in backflow testing and repair.
• Strong understanding of backflow and service and repairs.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform testing, service, maintenance, and repairs of backflow devices.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective action/repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Travel to job sites as required.
