Honolulu Board of Water Supply is seeking a Cross-Connection Control Technician in Honolulu to perform routine cross-connection and backflow prevention duties under close supervision. You will review construction plans, assist with field inspections, test assemblies, and maintain records.

Requirements include U.S. citizenship or eligible status, a high school equivalency, and at least one year of blueprint/plan review experience plus a valid driver’s license. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
• Education: Equivalent to graduation from high school; responsible work experience may substitute for education.
• Experience: At least one year of experience in reviewing and reading blueprints and/or construction plans.
• License: Possession of a valid driver's license (automobile/Type 3) prior to appointment.

Responsabilités

• Review construction plans with building permits for cross-connection and backflow prevention compliance.
• Assist in field inspections and testing for proper installation of backflow prevention assemblies.
• Test, inspect, maintain, repair, and certify backflow prevention assemblies.
• Record and maintain data in manual and electronic files.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
