Qualifications

• Technicians must possess a valid South Carolina Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification and a SC Class C Water Distribution License.
• Coordinator must possess SC Backflow Tester Certification and SC Class A Water Distribution License.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections of cross connections, backflow assemblies, and hydrant use.
• Assist with flow testing, pressure evaluations, field investigations, and data collection.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and compliance records.
• Educate customers and stakeholders about backflow prevention and hydrant usage requirements.
