Job summary

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, enabling customers to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest. The role focuses on owning, improving, and maintaining integration and E2E test automation frameworks and CI pipelines across the tech stack.

You will design efficient test solutions, write specs and ADRs, and collaborate with engineers to enhance QA practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright and Pytest.
• Experience in building and optimizing CI pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
• Strong background in QA, test design, and testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with asynchronous documentation experience.
• Equivalency of practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Own, improve, and maintain integration and E2E test automation frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Design and implement technical solutions to optimize test execution time and stability.
• Write technical specifications and ADRs; collaborate with engineers across the company.
• Support engineering teams by triaging requests and sharing QA best practices.
• Contribute to the evolution of the company’s test strategy.
• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases with team collaboration.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
