Job summary

Iron EagleX (IEX), a subsidiary of General Dynamics Information Technology, seeks a Mid Software Engineer to support SOCNORTH at Peterson AFB. You design and maintain data-driven backend systems with Python/TypeScript, build APIs, and implement DevSecOps practices in a secure, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities include data ingestion, EDA on CAI/PAI datasets, and working with PostgreSQL databases via SQLAlchemy.

Qualifications

• Current DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 5 years of related software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and DevSecOps tools is preferred.
• Role requires 5 days on-site.
• Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data-driven backend systems for secure, high-performance search and analytics capabilities.
• Develop backend services for data ingestion and retrieval; design APIs and microservices using Python Flask or FastAPI.
• Implement DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis on CAI, PAI, and other datasets.
• Work with Postgres databases via SQLAlchemy; understand search/data systems; relevant tech stack includes Python/Go/Java, AWS, Docker, K8s.
