Affirm’s Batch Developer Experience team seeks a software engineer to help make batch workloads faster and more reliable. You will break down projects, collaborate across product, design and analytics, and help keep systems resilient in a remote-first environment.

We value 1.5+ years in software engineering, backend experience with Python or Kotlin, and familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Backend design, development and deployment experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
• Familiar with distributed systems and AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Ability to write clear, well-tested and extensible code.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Break down projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics to articulate constraints.
• Monitor metrics and support on-call efforts to keep systems healthy.
• Engage in growth activities and participate in interviews.
