Job summary

Lyft in San Francisco seeks a software engineer for the Airports team to ensure a dependable rider and driver experience at airports. You will work with multiple teams to integrate with airport operations and enhance the airport journey for millions of travelers.

Responsibilities include building high-impact features in Python/Go, participating in code reviews, and joining on-call rotations. This hybrid role requires in-office presence 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5+ years of software engineering/production infrastructure experience.
• Proficiency with Python and Go.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills; data structures and algorithms knowledge.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and communicating trade-offs.

Responsibilities

Experience

• BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience
• 2-5+ years of software engineering/production infrastructure industry experience
• Experience with Python, Go
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming
• Experience working with data structures or algorithms
• Ability to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team
• Bonus points: experience pursuing side projects or open-source project

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $128,000 – $160,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
