Lyft is seeking a backend software engineer in Seattle to design, develop, deploy and monitor distributed systems that power secure detection and response capabilities. You will collaborate with science and product teams to drive projects from inception to launch, write scalable code, and participate in reviews to ensure quality.

The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence 3 days per week, with base pay disclosed for Seattle.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2 years of pre- or post-academic experience in software development.
• Experience with Object-oriented programming.
• Experience writing clear, scalable design documentation.
• Experience with backend software development of large-scale distributed systems.

The expected base pay range for this position in the Seattle area is $149,240 - $192,000/year. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
