Job summary

At Atlassian is seeking a Back End Software Engineer to join a remote-first team. You will build REST APIs powering core customer experiences, configure monitoring for backend services, and develop CI/CD pipelines while ensuring reliability and scalable integrations with our content management systems.

The role is fully remote, but you must be located in US Pacific or Mountain time zones. Atlassian offers competitive base pay within regional zones and a broad benefits package, with opportunities

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with one or more prominent languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience).
• Experience performing platform integrations using REST.
• Experience working with GIT in a collaborative team setting.
• Familiarity with server technologies (NPM, Docker, NGINX, Express/Node).
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS.

Pay Ranges

In The United States , we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

• Zone A : $150,300 - $196,225
• Zone B : $135,270 - $176,603
• Zone C : $124,749 - $162,867

Qualifications

Your background:

• 2+ years experience with one or more prominent languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience).
• Experience performing platform integrations using REST.
• A background in working with GIT in a collaborative team setting.
• Familiarity with server technologies (NPM, Docker, NGINX, Express/Node).
• A love for working collaboratively on a team with varied strengths. If you've got these skills, even better:
• Experience working with an enterprise content management system - Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS
• Java experience
