Atlassian is hiring a Back End Software Engineer for a fully remote role based in US Pacific or Mountain time zones. You will craft RESTful APIs, monitor backend services, implement CI/CD pipelines, and integrate with our CMS to deliver scalable, reliable services.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, work in a security-conscious environment, and be eligible for benefits and equity. Prior experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Rust is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with one or more languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (CS preferred).
• Experience performing platform integrations using REST.
• Experience with Git in a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with server technologies (NPM, Docker, NGINX, Express/Node).
• Nice to have: experience with an enterprise CMS and cloud platforms like AWS; Rust experience.

We're looking for a Back End Software Engineer to join our team, focused on delivering creative improvements for our engineering teams.

In this role, you will:

Build REST APIs that power core customer experiences

Configure monitoring for backend services

Build CICD pipelines

Develop integrations with our content management system

Build features and services with reliability in mind

In The United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $150,300 - $196,225

Zone B: $135,270 - $176,603

Zone C: $124,749 - $162,867

Your background:

2+ years experience with one or more prominent languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala is required.

Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience).

Experience performing platform integrations using REST.

A background in working with GIT in a collaborative team setting.

Familiarity with server technologies (NPM, Docker, NGINX, Express/Node).
