Job summary

Peregrine Advisors LLC is hiring for a backend engineer to build secure Python services and APIs on AWS. You will implement authentication, manage data in PostgreSQL, and deliver automated, auditable backend solutions for federal workflows.

The role entails contributing to cloud-native backend development, identity management, and scalable microservices in a hybrid environment with opportunities to work across government programs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience in Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience building secure REST APIs on AWS with FastAPI or a similar framework.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience implementing authentication and access control.
• Experience with clean, automated software delivery.
• Proficiency in creating presentations (PowerPoint) and spreadsheets (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Build backend services and secure APIs on AWS using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs to automate document-heavy processes.
• Build the cloud backing them on AWS: Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, S3.
• Maintain PostgreSQL data and manage identity and access control.
• Deliver a secure, automated backend compliant with regulatory security and auditability.
