Job summary

Rox is seeking a Backend Platform Engineer in San Francisco to build intelligent, agentic workflows powering the world’s top revenue teams. You’ll own the full lifecycle of AI-driven product development, from model training to integrating features in production and shipping robust, scalable systems.

You'll collaborate with engineers, designers, and customers to iterate quickly and improve intelligence and reliability of our agent swarm, designing multi-step workflows and optimizing onboarding,

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field; 5+ years of work experience; building and scaling platform systems is a plus
• Tech stack: Python, Flask, AWS
• Understanding of LLM models and/or deep understanding of services in multiple clouds is a plus
• Be located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco

Responsibilities

• High Ownership: End-to-end design and implementation of scalable systems
• Customers First: Engage with customers, join calls, ship solutions with product and AI engineers
• Systems Understanding: Knowledge of data storage systems (Aurora, DynamoDB, Snowflake, S3) and messaging/streaming (SQS, Kafka, Spark)
• Operations: Focus on reliability with minimal downtime
• Bias for action: Fast-paced delivery with minimal guidance
• Be Curious: Willingness to learn and grow
