Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Backend Capability Product Specialist to own the backend platform, API ecosystem, and third-party integration layer of our SaaS product suite. You will be at the intersection of engineering, business strategy, and market intelligence, guiding scalable, interoperable systems for internal capabilities and partner integrations.

You will lead the API governance and DX, drive event-driven microservices, and manage integration roadmaps from vendor evaluation to production

Qualifications

7+ years of product management experience.
4+ years focused on backend systems, APIs, or platform products.
Proven track record delivering SaaS platform features at scale, ideally in B2B/enterprise.

Responsibilities

Own the backend platform, APIs, and data platform roadmap.
Define API design standards, versioning, and developer experience (DX).
Drive scalable, event-driven microservices architecture in collaboration with engineering leads.
Lead third-party integrations, partner APIs, and marketplace ecosystem development.
Monitor market trends and regulatory shifts to inform the roadmap.
Translate technical requirements into clear product specs and acceptance criteria.
