CVS Health seeks a technical, strategic Backend Capability Product Specialist to own the backend platform, APIs, and third‑party integration layer of a SaaS product suite. You will align engineering, business strategy, and market intelligence to drive scalable, interoperable systems powering internal capabilities and external partner integrations.

7+ years in product management.
4+ years on backend APIs/platforms.
Experience delivering SaaS platform features at scale.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and modern integration patterns.
Hands-on experience with API management platforms.
Ability to build ROI-based business cases.
Experience leading API/platform strategy.

Responsibilities

Own the product roadmap for backend systems, APIs, and data platform capabilities.
Define API design standards, versioning, and developer experience.
Drive microservices architecture vision with engineering leads.
Govern API governance including authentication, rate limiting, and SLAs.
Lead integration strategy for third‑party APIs and marketplace ecosystem.
Collaborate with architects on interoperability standards (HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR).
Build ROI-based business cases and track platform KPIs.
Coach cross‑functional teams and translate technical needs into clear specs.
