Job summary

Bizoforce is seeking a skilled Backend OTA Tester to join our QA team. You will test and validate OTA update delivery, backend services, and the device update ecosystem to ensure reliability and security across our platforms.

You will design test cases, automate repetitive tasks, participate in CI/CD improvements, and work closely with engineers and DevOps. The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong problem solving, and clear communication to drive quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in backend testing or QA.
• Understanding OTA update mechanisms and firmware distribution.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or C++.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Git version control.
• Understanding of testing methodologies and test case design.
• Experience with testing tools such as Postman, JMeter, Pytest.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute OTA test cases for update delivery systems.
• Validate backend services responsible for firmware distribution.
• Test update rollout mechanisms including progressive rollouts.
• Verify database integrity during update processes.
• Conduct load and stress testing on OTA infrastructure.
• Identify, document, and track defects with reproducible steps.
• Perform regression testing after fixes and updates.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, DevOps, and product teams.
• Create test strategies, plans and document results.
• Participate in code reviews from a QA perspective and CI/CD improvements.
