Cognizant is seeking a Field OTA Test Engineer in Dallas to lead and execute vehicle connectivity and software update validation via OTA for Customer Field Vehicles. The role requires hands-on testing of Telematics, OTA architectures, CAN networks, and diagnostic tools (CANoe/Canalyzer).

You will travel 50-75% to local plants and dealers, conduct bench and in-vehicle validation, and document results thoroughly.

Formación

• 2+ years of OTA testing and vehicle telematics experience.
• 2+ years of in-vehicle level testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of OTA architecture and vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet).
• Experience with CANoe/Canalyzer or Vehicle Spy diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with CANoe CAN/CANFD/UDS/J1939 protocols.
• Ability to create and execute test cases; good defect logging example-able.
• Solid troubleshooting skills in fast-paced automotive environments.
• Clean driving record and willingness to travel 50–75% in Dallas area.

Responsabilidades

• Test and validate connected features; perform in-bench and field vehicle tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan OTA test timelines.
• Develop and execute test plans for wireless software updates.
• Troubleshoot OTA update failures with cross-functional teams.
• Log defects with logs; monitor/track in defect system.
• Use CANoe to capture and analyze communication logs during OTA testing.
• Create OTA test packages and in-vehicle remote diagnostic testing.
• Verify update integrity and rollback mechanisms with software/back-end teams.
