Zaven, a software company from Wrocław, Poland, seeks a skilled .NET Developer to support a US-based client. You will be a key part of backend delivery, migrating legacy systems, reducing technical debt, and ensuring high performance and reliability of the platform.

You'll maintain ASP.NET MVC 5 apps, migrate to .NET Core, design RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core, work with Azure and Azure DevOps, and collaborate with smart teams to avoid bureaucracy.

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience with .NET and SQL Server.
• Experience migrating legacy apps to modern .NET Core and Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps workflows.
• Proficiency in English; Polish language skills are a plus for project communication.

We are currently developing and maintaining a large-scale platform for ordering home improvement and interior finishing services for our US-based client. That is why we are looking for a skilled .NET Developer to support us in this challenge. In this role, you will be a key part of our backend delivery, participate in system migrations, help reduce technical debt, and work closely with the team to ensure high performance and reliability of the platform.

What exactly will you be doing?

• Maintaining and optimizing existing ASP.NET MVC 5 applications.
• Supporting and actively participating in the migration of legacy applications to modern .NET Core.
• Designing and developing modern RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core.
• Creating, optimizing, and maintaining T-SQL procedures and functions.
• Refactoring code and systematically reducing technical debt in legacy areas of the system.
• Participating in system migrations from on-premise environments to the Azure cloud.
• Working with Azure DevOps for software delivery and integrating the platform with various third-party APIs.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Solid professional experience in backend software development.
• Good knowledge of the .NET ecosystem: ASP.NET MVC 5, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
• Strong database skills, including MS SQL Server and fluent T-SQL programming.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Functions.
• Experience in working with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Clean Code principles, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, jQuery) to effectively navigate older parts of the system.
• Fluent command of Polish and English (both languages are required for project communication).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and migrating systems to AWS infrastructure.
