Job summary

Expedition Technology seeks a Software Engineer focused on backend development and cloud-native services in the United States. You will join a team that emphasizes security, performance, maintainability, scalability and reliability while innovating with autonomy.

Responsibilities include building features, automated workflows, and bug fixes with Python, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS; collaborating on ML pipelines; and implementing RESTful APIs and streaming services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience, preferably in AWS cloud.
• BA/BS or higher in CS/CE or closely related field.
• Understanding of cloud concepts: serverless, microservices, scalability, high availability.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or container ecosystems.
• Proficiency with Python and JavaScript.
• Linux (Ubuntu) experience and scripting.
• Familiarity with Git and branching strategies.
• Interest in ML pipelines and containerized deployment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team in an Agile environment to develop new capabilities using open-source frameworks.
• Develop features, automated workflows and bug fixes using Python 3, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS services.
• Collaborate on deep learning architectures and pipelines for novel applications.
• Contribute to SDLC and coding best practices.
• Develop and design RESTful APIs and streaming services.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
