Job summary

Viderity Inc. is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build and maintain Java-based applications with RESTful APIs and microservices. You will work within an Agile team, craft design docs, code, and troubleshoot issues while contributing to production support as needed.

The ideal candidate has strong Java skills, experience with REST/JSON, Spring, SpringBoot, and a track record of delivering reliable backend services in modern IDEs and AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Java and related technologies.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with AWS Services.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with debugging, testing, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements.
• Follows Agile life cycle methodologies and creates design documents.
• Performs program coding and resolves technical issues through debugging and investigation.
• Works as part of the production support team for a portion of time.
