Job summary

Viderity Inc. is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build and maintain Java-based applications with RESTful APIs and microservices. You will work within an Agile team, craft design docs, code, and troubleshoot issues while contributing to production support as needed.

The ideal candidate has strong Java skills, experience with REST/JSON, Spring, SpringBoot, and a track record of delivering reliable backend services in modern IDEs and AWS environments.

Job description

Viderity is seeking a Backend Developer with experience in developing J2EE applications using REST/JSON, Spring, SpringBoot, J2EE. Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Follows approved Agile life cycle methodologies, creates design documents & performs program coding. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Works a portion of their time as a member of the production support team.

Job requirements

• Web Services (REST, Soap), XSLT, XML, JSON
• Strong experience with the GIT version control system and familiarity with code repository

• Strong experience with the Maven build tool
• Strong experience with a modern IDE such as VS Code or Intellij
• Strong experience with relational databases and queries
• Strong experience with production support and issue resolution
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with documenting technical specifics and/or tech design
• Experience designing and performing unit testing, functional testing, and code reviews
• Experience with Database design including Stored Procedures, DML and DDL tasks
