Job summary

Compass Integrated Services (CIS) seeks software engineers to design, implement, and maintain backend microservices powering One-Click Title & Escrow, Insurance, Mortgage, and Home Warranty workflows. You will also contribute to frontend work with modern frameworks like React and TypeScript.

Ideal candidates have 2-4 years of experience, strong backend skills, API experience (gRPC/REST), and familiarity with AWS and CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in backend languages (Go, Node.js, Python, Java)
• Frontend tech familiarity (TypeScript, React) and full-stack willingness
• Solid data structures, algorithms, and trade-offs
• Experience building/consuming APIs (gRPC/REST) in microservice architectures
• Familiarity with AWS/cloud technologies and event-driven systems like Kafka
• Strong testing practices (Jest, Cypress)
• Collaborative yet independent with ambiguity

Responsibilities

• Develop core backend services powering One-Click Title & Escrow, Insurance, Mortgage, and Home Warranty workflows
• Contribute to frontend UI using React and TypeScript for seamless user experiences
• Deliver features end-to-end, writing secure, testable, maintainable code
• Improve operational metrics, monitoring, and on-call rotations
• Write high-quality tests to prevent regressions and minimize tech debt
• Serve as SME for internal components and mentor interns
• Participate in code reviews, planning, and design discussions in Agile environments
