Job summary

Ether.fi is seeking a strong software engineer to join the credit card transaction team and strengthen the fraud and risk systems that support our card program. You will focus on reducing declines and improving authorization, while building proactive rules and tooling to prevent fraud.

You will work closely with Product, CX, and Compliance, and with our card program and fraud vendors to deliver robust, scalable risk solutions across on-chain and off-chain components.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional coding experience.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and problem solving.
• Comfortable with data; able to query and analyze transaction data.
• Genuine interest in adversarial problems and fraud patterns.

Responsibilities

• Improve card transaction experience by eliminating declines and frictions.
• Enhance card program as a product and ship fixes.
• Hunt fraud patterns such as card testing, friendly fraud, cashback farming.
• Own fraud stack: rules, queues, scoring, and monitoring.
• Investigate live cases by querying data and deriving preventative rules.
• Build internal tools and dashboards to boost risk and CX teams.
