Speechify, a fully remote, distributed company, is seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and maintain robust APIs (public TTS, payment, subscription, auth, analytics). You will help scale backend systems to support millions of users and enterprise integrations. Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Experience with cloud providers: GCP; knowledge of AWS/Azure.
• Ability to prioritize tasks by urgency and impact.
• Experience with container deployments is preferred.
• Experience deploying HA apps on Kubernetes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal APIs.
• Oversee the backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise clients.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align architecture with product strategy and UX.
