Alpaca, a US-headquartered leader in brokerage infrastructure, is seeking a Software Engineer for the Securities Finance (SecFi) team. You’ll design and run the backend powering FPSL and short borrowing, building robust distributed services in Go and PostgreSQL.

You’ll work across the stack, from APIs to batch processing, ensuring reliability and performance for global brokerage customers. Join a diverse, globally distributed team delivering enterprise-grade APIs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building distributed systems in production.
• Strong fundamentals in computers, networks, databases, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own a project from first conversation to production.Build systems for new products and revenue, including partner APIs and batch pipelines.
• Improve existing systems so changes are noticeable and impactful.
• Understand securities lending, collateral, and settlement basics and the short selling rules.
