Job summary

PayPay Securities is seeking a Backend Engineer to build and operate the backend applications for our asset management services. You will design large-scale systems, collaborate with engineers and QAs, and help establish a new engineering organization within PayPay Securities.

You will work in a global, high-speed environment aiming to expand asset management in Japan and beyond. Strong programming skills in Java, PHP, or equivalent languages and experience with distributed systems are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in developing backend applications for company products.
• Experience with Java/PHP in professional settings, or strong skills in languages like Scala, Python, or Go.
• English or Japanese business proficiency (JLPT N1 level for Japanese)

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate the backend applications for PayPay Securities products (PHP, Java, SpringBoot, MySQL/AuroraDB).
• Design large-scale systems with high throughput.
• Understand and implement infrastructure for scalable solutions.
• Develop tools and contribute to open source wherever possible.
• Always pursue root-cause analysis to fix issues.
