Job summary

Stripe, LLC. is seeking a senior software engineer to develop scalable systems and maintain high-performance RESTful microservices across distributed environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize APIs, databases, and deployment processes, while building testing suites and monitoring tools. The role requires a Master’s degree and 6 years of experience, with 4 years in multiple core areas and a strong emphasis on scalable backend design.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS, SE, or related field with 6 years of software development experience.
• 4 years of experience in building software solutions in Java, C++, Python, or Ruby.
• 4 years of experience translating business needs into software requirements and designs.
• 4 years of experience debugging production issues across services and stack.
• 4 years of experience with distributed systems.
• 4 years of design and implementation of scalable high-performance RESTful microservices.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable computer systems to manage large volumes of information for the company and partners.
• Improve backend scalability and performance via lightweight backend framework integration, API overhaul, and DB optimization.
• Design and build tools to ingest and process signals from sources for partner teams.
• Design and implement logging and data visualization for backend APIs.
• Diagnose and resolve production, QA, and customer-reported issues.
• Design and implement scalable automated testing suites to reduce manual QA tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and streamline CI/CD pipelines.
