Recruiter Concierge is seeking a Software Engineer for our San Francisco, on-site team to design scalable backend services and APIs powering a modern AI-driven financial operations platform.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of experience in backend or full-stack development, with a track record in distributed systems, relational databases (PostgreSQL), and building integrations across complex software ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend or full-stack development experience.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience developing APIs and backend services.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for building products from the ground up in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs.
• Develop integrations across dozens of legacy ERP and construction software platforms.
• Create elegant data models that unify fragmented systems.
• Build high-performance services capable of handling millions of API requests.
• Design caching strategies to optimize performance and reduce latency.
• Build reliable infrastructure supporting real-time communication and synchronization.
• Develop scalable testing frameworks covering thousands of integration endpoints.
• Contribute across both backend services and customer-facing applications.
• Collaborate closely with founders and customers to rapidly ship new functionality.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
