Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems at scale.
• Strong backend engineering skills in a modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go).
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and scalable service architectures.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and deliver practical, reliable solutions quickly.
• Strong ownership mindset with experience building foundational systems.
• Solid understanding of system reliability, performance, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core backend systems that power platform operations, including contracts, payouts, and fraud-related workflows.
• Design and implement identity and access management systems to ensure secure, just-in-time access across the platform.
• Translate complex operational requirements into scalable, reliable backend services.
• Improve system reliability, security, and performance across foundational infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to support high-impact platform initiatives.
• Contribute to internal tooling and platform improvements that enhance developer productivity and system robustness.
• Operate in a fast-moving environment, flexing across teams and priorities as needed.
