Job summary
SplitMetrics is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our remote-first team to build and optimize data-intensive systems. You will focus on Python backends, high-load processing, and scalable data pipelines that power analytics and ad-tech platforms.
You will implement testing, CI/CD, and observability practices while collaborating across teams to ensure performance, security, and reliability. Experience with macOS/iOS workflows is a plus, and English proficiency at B1+ is expected for
Qualifications
- 4+ years of Python development for high-load, scalable systems.
- Strong SQL and data-tuning capabilities for performance.
- Experience building microservices and data pipelines for analytics.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and tools (GitHub).
- Approach to automation and observability across services.
Responsibilities
- Scrape APIs at industrial scale (TBs/day) and build backend services.
- Develop Python-based backends for high-load data processing and analytics.
- Write clean, secure code and perform reviews across components.
- Implement automated tests and participate in CI/CD processes.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system stability and performance.
