SplitMetrics invites a senior Python back-end engineer to design and build scalable, high-load systems for mobile-first products. You will optimize PostgreSQL performance, manage async queues, and scale microservices while collaborating with frontend, QA, and product teams.

The role emphasizes architecture decisions, data pipelines, and system reliability, with a flexible schedule and opportunities to work across global teams.

Qualifications

• Over 4 years of professional software development experience using Python.
• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and performance optimization.
• Experience with async task queues such as Celery, Redis, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
• Experience building and scaling microservices.
• Experience with Docker.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD approaches and tools.
• Solid understanding of standard web technologies and security principles.
• Ability to make architecture decisions with a focus on business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-load systems using Python.
• Adapt the product to handle more than 200-400 million records per day.
• Work with data pipelines, integrations, and analytics.
• Enhance system reliability, security, and performance.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain backend products.
• Build and scale microservices-based solutions.
• Conduct code reviews within the domain and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate and communicate with frontend, QA, and product teams.
