SplitMetrics is hiring a Backend Engineer to join our remote-first team and work on high-load, data-intensive systems. You will build backend services in Python, optimize data pipelines and analytics, and scrape various APIs at industrial scale (TBs/day).

• 4+ years of Python experience building high-load, scalable systems.
• Strong SQL skills with performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience developing microservices, data pipelines, and analytics solutions.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and tools (GitHub).
• Ability to refactor legacy code and migrate to modern tech stacks.
• Eagerness to automate everything and focus on observability.

Responsibilities

• Scrape various APIs at industrial scale (TBs/day).
• Build backend services using Python for high-load, data-intensive systems and optimize data pipelines and analytics.
• Write and review code for quality, security, and best practices across backend components.
• Implement automated testing (unit, e2e) and participate in CI/CD processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system stability and performance.
