Job summary

raydar is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design and build backend services for transaction processing and financial record-keeping. You will own systems from architecture through production support, with a focus on correctness and reliability, contributing across checkout flows, access controls, risk checks, and reconciliation.

You will work on-site in San Francisco five days a week, using TypeScript and Node.js, and you will be responsible for scalable, secure, and robust backend

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience at scale.
• Experience with payment processing or fintech preferred.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Develop order-processing paths across multiple channels.
• Design secure credential storage and access controls.
• Implement permission, budget, and approval logic.
• Build risk detection and fraud screening components.
