Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a backend engineer on the Money Movement team within the Developer product group. You will own projects end-to-end on stablecoin-based money movement, building backend systems and APIs to enable fast, secure transfers.

Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Compliance; improve performance and reliability; write designs; and responsibly use AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or crypto.
• Proficiency in backend languages and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience as DRI for technical projects.
• Experience with blockchain/crypto technologies.
• Ability to write design docs and communicate trade-offs.
• Uses AI responsibly with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own key projects end-to-end as the DRI, driving money-movement features from design to production.
• Build backend systems, infrastructure, and APIs to power stablecoin payments.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Compliance on robust solutions.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems.
• Contribute to engineering quality through reviews and best practices.
