Job summary

FTS, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join a high-performing team building enterprise-scale solutions. You will design, build, and deploy robust applications using Java, Python, and modern databases.

Responsibilities include architecting scalable services, optimizing Oracle SQL/PL-SQL and MongoDB structures, and leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while maintaining code quality. The role emphasizes collaborative, Agile work across the full SDLC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong Python proficiency for backend logic.
• Experience with Oracle SQL / PL-SQL and MongoDB.
• Proven RESTful API development experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, and microservices.
• Experience operating in Agile/Scrum across the SDLC.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
• Design, optimize, and maintain Oracle SQL/PL-SQL queries and MongoDB data stores.
• Build automated workflows, testing pipelines, and developer tooling with Python.
• Work with microservices, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and container environments (OpenShift/Podman).
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve development speed and code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment from concept to deployment.
