Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong Python proficiency for backend logic.
• Experience with Oracle SQL / PL-SQL and MongoDB.
• Proven RESTful API development experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, and microservices.
• Experience operating in Agile/Scrum across the SDLC.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join a collaborative, high-performing team developing enterprise-scale solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, building, and deploying robust applications using a modern technology ecosystem grounded in Java, Python, and relational/NoSQL databases.

We are looking for an adaptable developer who thrives across the full software development lifecycle—from translating complex business requirements into clean technical designs, to leveraging cutting-edge AI tools that accelerate development and maintain high standards of code quality.

What You’ll Do

• Architect & Implement: Build scalable, reliable applications and backend services primarily using Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
• Data Engineering & Querying: Design, optimize, and maintain complex database structures and queries using Oracle SQL/PL-SQL and MongoDB.
• Automation & Scripting: Leverage Python to build automated workflows, testing pipelines, and developer tooling to maintain system reliability and continuous delivery.
• Integrate & Modernize: Work with microservice architectures, messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and containerized environments (Podman/OpenShift) to maintain seamless system integration.
• Leverage Modern Tooling: Enhance daily development speed and code quality by utilizing AI-assisted tools (such as GitHub Copilot and generative models).
• Collaborate & Deliver: Work closely with cross-functional team members in an Agile environment to take features from initial concept through verification and deployment.

• Architecture & Cloud: Microservices, OpenShift, Podman, Event-Driven Systems (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Preferred Qualifications

• Core Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience in object-oriented programming with Java and Spring Boot.
• Scripting & Automation: Strong proficiency in Python for backend logic, scripting, or automated test/process frameworks.
• Database Proficiency: Solid background writing and optimizing Oracle SQL / PL-SQL queries and working with document stores like MongoDB.
• API Development: Proven experience building, testing, and maintaining secure RESTful APIs.
• Modern Engineering Practices: Familiarity with version control, CI/CD deployment pipelines, containerization, and distributed/microservice architectures.
• Methodologies: Experience operating in Agile/Scrum environments across the entire SDLC.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
