Rippling is hiring a Backend-focused Software Engineer II for its Financial Product engineering team in Seattle. You will design and implement backend services powering core features, partnering across API design, data modeling, and performance optimization.

You will own features end-to-end, from coding to testing, deployment, and on-call support, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver value quickly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Backend skills in Python and/or Go with production-grade systems.
• Strong relational database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test reliable backend services and APIs at scale.
• Work across API design, data modeling, event modeling, and performance.
• Own the dev lifecycle from implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and learn from feedback.
