Alldus in New York is recruiting a Backend Engineer for a growing, venture-backed healthcare startup. You will design and build scalable backend services and cloud infrastructure that empower healthcare organizations to deliver meaningful health insights.

Join a product-focused team shaping preventive health platforms, with emphasis on security, reliability and observability, while collaborating with product and engineering to deliver end-to-end features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building backend systems with modern languages.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems.
• Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge and patterns.
• Proficient with AWS and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with IaC principles.
• Interest in healthcare tech and prevention.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and cloud infrastructure.
• Build and deliver features end-to-end across the platform.
• Architect secure, reliable and resilient systems for healthcare-focused applications.
• Improve performance, scalability and system reliability for seamless user experiences.
• Develop and enhance observability, monitoring and operational tooling.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to solve complex technical problems.
• Contribute to technical strategy, system architecture and engineering best practices.
• Help shape the evolution of a platform focused on preventive health and human optimization.
