Atlassian is seeking a software engineer to drive identity services across its engineering org. The role delivers features end-to-end—from design to tests and deployment—while maintaining security, privacy, and high availability.

You will mentor peers, review designs, and improve documentation to enhance the developer experience. Remote-friendly, open to candidates with strong cloud and distributed systems backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics Engineering, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of related work experience.
• Experience with Go, Java, Python, Kotlin, Scala, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive creative improvements across Atlassian's engineering organization, design, build, and operate core identity services.
• Deliver features end-to-end from design to testing and deployment, with monitoring of SLOs.
• Mentor peers, conduct design and code reviews, improve documentation, and enhance developer experience.
• Champion security best practices, perform threat modeling, and embed privacy-by-design in authorization workflows.
• Participate in on-call incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Develop automation to minimize manual toil.
