Ramp is building the AI-native platform for Go-to-Market teams, seeking a product-minded backend engineer to power marketing and growth workflows. You will shape data models, APIs, and orchestration to enable incentives and cross-channel campaigns with safe AI-enabled execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python or another modern server-side language.
• Ownership of production services, APIs, data models, and distributed workflows.
• Sound system-design basics including data modeling, asynchronous processing, reliability, testing and observability.
• Experience with governed systems involving permissions, budgets, or financial actions.
• Experience applying AI to real product workflows or interest with deterministic controls and human approval.

Responsibilities

• Build the backend systems powering AI-native marketing and growth products across channels.
• Develop shared incentives infrastructure for eligibility, budgeting, issuance and tracking.
• Enable personalized content and offers across email, sales workflows, and in-product experiences.
• Design reliable orchestration for long-running work, approvals, scheduling, retries, and safe execution.
• Connect marketing actions and incentive spend to activation, conversion, retention and revenue.
• Collaborate across Marketing, Product Growth, Data Science, Finance and GTM Platform from discovery to production adoption.
