Relay (Uneven Labs, Inc.) is a cross-chain payments protocol delivering instant, low-cost cross-chain bridging, swaps, and transactions for millions of users. We’re building core infrastructure to simplify multi-chain payments and enable scalable, reliable user experiences.

As a Solving Engineer you will own the software that generates quotes, routes trades across on-chain and off-chain venues, and fulfills requests end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Own complex, multi‑stage pipelines from detection to settlement.
• Reliability focus: write robust error handling, observability, and handle edge cases.
• You drive work from idea to production with high ownership and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Extend Relay’s support to new chain VMs with on‑chain contracts.
• Own the chain integration layer, including settlement contracts, multisig, and allocator.
• Design trust‑minimized settlement flows toward fully verifiable settlement.
• Collaborate to ensure quotes, liquidity, and routing are efficient.
• Investigate and resolve protocol‑level incidents (RPC timeouts, etc.).
• Contribute to open‑source protocol specs and developer documentation.
