Job summary

Relay is seeking a Liquidity Operations Engineer to own and reconcile live liquidity across assets, chains, wallets, CEXs, bridges, and in-flight rebalances. You will monitor markets, execute time-sensitive rebalances, and build dashboards, alerts, and runbooks to scale liquidity operations.

You will work in a remote-forward, PST-aligned environment, collaborating with engineers, quantitative developers, and other teams to improve capital efficiency while keeping risk within approved limits.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of practical experience in liquidity operations, trading operations, treasury, market operations, crypto operations, or an equivalent environment
• Working knowledge of capital markets and operational risk, including liquidity, order books, execution, fees, slippage, exposures, and controls
• Experience performing or supporting time-sensitive operational work and carefully verifying the result
• Ability to query data, read logs, work with APIs, and build or modify dashboards, alerts, and small automations
• Experience using, writing, or improving runbooks, incident procedures, checklists, reconciliations, or other operational controls
• Strong judgment, written communication, and ability to operate autonomously within a defined risk framework.

Responsibilities

• Own and reconcile live liquidity operations across assets, chains, wallets, CEXs, bridges, and in-flight rebalances
• Execute and verify approved rebalances, transfers, configuration changes, provider disablements, and other time-sensitive liquidity actions
• Reconcile outcomes vs. expectations and drive gaps to resolution
• Schedule recurring liquidity activities and participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotation
• Apply governance framework to every material action
• Investigate liquidity incidents, market-risk situations, and coordinate with external teams
• Build Grafana/Datadog dashboards and actionable alerts
• Design safe automation for recurring checks and workflows
• Create and improve runbooks, SOPs, and incident playbooks
• Improve liquidity via collaboration with Quant and Engineering
