Job summary

Ramp is seeking a backend engineer to help power spend controls and card workflows at scale in the US. You’ll design and build backend systems, APIs, and integrations that handle billions in transactions while collaborating with product, design, and data teams.

You’ll work across Ramp's AI platform to automate policy enforcement and anomaly detection, own projects end-to-end, and ensure reliability, performance, and data consistency across financial systems.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development fundamentals with API design experience.
• Experience with Python, Go, or TypeScript is ideal.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and AWS in production systems.
• Ability to balance technical quality with user value.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale backend systems powering spend controls and card transactions.
