Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer to join the CDP Foundations team, building core platform capabilities that enable businesses to launch and scale crypto products. The CDP Foundations teams own the foundational experiences and primitives spanning the developer portal, shared customer services, custodial accounts and taxes, and KYC/KYB onboarding APIs.

You'll design and ship backend services and APIs in a microservices architecture, lead end-to-end delivery of features, and strengthen

Qualifications

2+ years of production backend experience in microservices.
Experience designing internal or customer APIs with developer focus.
Familiar with deploying and testing in microservice ecosystems with observability tooling.
Ability to communicate trade-offs clearly in writing and in discussions with cross-functional partners.
Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.
Demonstrates responsible use of AI tools and copilots in daily workflows.

Responsibilities

Build, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services in a microservices architecture.
Define internal and customer-facing APIs for a high-quality developer experience.
Lead end-to-end delivery of features from implementation through deployment and monitoring.
Strengthen reliability and observability by addressing technical debt and improving practices.
Participate in code reviews and on-call rotation, and lead incident response with a constructive team environment.
