Job summary

Mason is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to join a close-knit team building mobile IaaS infrastructure. You will contribute to web services, APIs, testing, and documentation while collaborating with product managers and frontend engineers to ship features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development.
• Solid understanding of at least one backend-oriented programming language and related web services stack.
• Experience writing and automating tests.
• College degree with CS coursework or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and enhance web services to spec and build data models.
• Build APIs to enhance internal and external functionality of the Mason Platform.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on backend architecture and patterns.
• Interact with product managers to clarify requirements and specs.
• Write design one-pagers and participate in design reviews.
• Build and maintain test automation where appropriate.
• Write public-facing documentation for new features and APIs.
• Collaborate with designers and frontend engineers to deliver UI features.
• Participate in a culture of always be shipping.
