Job summary

SentinelOne is seeking a Staff Back-End Engineer to build backend infrastructure for its AI security product. You will design scalable server-side applications, implement robust APIs, and work with cloud services to deploy services that monitor AI assets and deliver actionable insights.

You will design and implement microservices, optimize databases, and enforce security and data protection while collaborating with frontend teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with database management.
• Experience developing and integrating APIs, including designing and building RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices.
• Experience with scalability and performance optimization, including caching strategies, message queues, and large-scale, distributed architectures.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs.
• Implement and optimize database schemas, queries, and data storage solutions.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
