AgileGrid Solutions is partnering with a well-funded AI company to recruit a Backend Engineer (AI) for its growing engineering team. This role focuses on building the backend platform, AI infrastructure, and orchestration systems at the heart of the product, with ownership from day one.

You will design, build, and operate backend services coordinating model inference, tools, and multi-step workflows. The environment is fast-moving and remote-friendly, offering equity and above-market

Qualifications

• Strong background building and operating production backend systems.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, data infrastructure and scalability.
• Familiarity with AI systems and orchestration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services and infrastructure supporting an AI-native product.
• Develop systems for coordinating model inference, tools, and multi-step workflows.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and establish engineering practices.
• Improve performance, scalability, observability, and resilience.
