AXS in Charlotte, NC is seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and data pipelines for AI-powered applications. You will integrate AI/ML capabilities (LLMs, embeddings, classification) and help shape the technical direction.

Join a cross-disciplinary team to optimize performance, cost efficiency, and reliability, implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and context-aware systems, evaluate third-party AI tools, and ship production-ready features.

Qualifikationen

• Strong backend experience with scalable APIs and data pipelines.
• Proficient in at least one major language (Python/JS/TS/Go/PHP).
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of system design and software architecture.
• Familiarity with AI APIs (OpenAI/Anthropic) and prompt techniques.
• Knowledge of embeddings and vector search.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
