Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Software Engineer to build scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines powering AI features. You will work with product/design teams to advance architecture and technical direction in a hybrid Charlotte, NC environment.

The role emphasizes AI capabilities, LLMs, embeddings, and vector search, with collaboration across teams to deliver robust production software.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and backend/API development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and AI API integration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into production applications.
• Develop data pipelines for AI workflows.
• Build RAG and context-aware systems.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tools and services.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code.
