Job summary

Cisco is seeking a passionate software engineer to help build scalable backend systems and robust analytics platforms. You will contribute to data infrastructure and AI-enabled services, enabling Cisco’s business units to derive insights and drive operational excellence.

Your work will span designing microservices, APIs, and cloud-based infrastructure, leveraging Linux and networking knowledge to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that support Cisco’s leadership in intelligent technology

Qualifications

Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or degree program + 0-3 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in at least one backend programming language: C/C++, Java, or Go.
Experience designing and developing microservices and APIs.
Strong understanding of Linux and fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable backend systems and analytics platforms.
Build infrastructure to support cloud and distributed computing initiatives.
Contribute to AI/ML-oriented data infrastructure and tools to enable data-driven insights.
